The resort occupies thirty-two acres of the Mae Rim valley, about half an hour north of Chiang Mai's old city. Its rice terraces are not decoration — they are worked, planted and harvested through the year, and the low-rise pavilions are arranged around them rather than over them. Lily ponds, teak and a deliberate absence of height keep the whole place at the level of the fields.

Accommodation runs from pavilion suites raised on stilts above the paddy to multi-bedroom residences. Wellness sits at the centre of the programme: yoga and meditation, naturopathic treatments at the Wara Cheewa Spa, and a plant-forward kitchen alongside the Thai cooking at KHAO.
