Bangkok's Sky, Unobstructed

Thailand's tallest building rises 314 metres above Bangkok's Silom district. From the 78th-floor open-air SkyWalk — a fully transparent glass platform suspended a literal third of a kilometre above the city — you see Bangkok in a way that no rooftop bar or helicopter can match. The King Power Mahanakhon Tower, designed by Ole Scheeren and completed in 2016, is instantly recognisable: its pixelated exterior cuts a distinctive silhouette across the Bangkok skyline.

The journey begins the moment you step into the high-speed elevator — 50 seconds and you're at 314 metres. The indoor observation deck on the 74th floor gives you floor-to-ceiling panoramic glass, while the SkyWalk above it is the defining moment: a transparent glass floor with nothing below but Bangkok, stretching to the horizon in every direction.
